Methodology

The appropriate treatment for the symptoms

Every person is an individual and every physical illness is different in terms of intensity, extent and the respective situation. It is therefore important to me personally to treat each patient individually with the appropriate therapy methods. In a detailed analysis at the beginning of the treatment, we determine the best possible form of therapy for you together and in consultation with your doctor.

As a Holetics Coach, derived from the word "holism" (wholeness), I refer to a holistic form of therapy and start my work where the cause of the complaints lies. In addition to the treatment itself, the focus of the therapy is on aftercare and prevention of secondary illnesses.

  • Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is used to treat diseases, functional disorders or the consequences of injuries to the musculoskeletal system. Various techniques can be used to counteract imbalances and muscular insufficiencies. If necessary, it is supplemented by natural physical stimuli such as heat, cold, pressure, radiation or electricity and promotes coordinated movement as well as the client's conscious perception. The physical and mental well-being is clearly the focus of the treatment. The goal is to restore, maintain or promote health and very often to achieve freedom from pain or pain reduction.

  • Manual Therapy

"Manual therapy? Quite simple: treating with the hand. Behind this technique, however, is a treatment that may only be carried out by physiotherapists with the appropriate additional training. It is therefore a sub-area of physiotherapy. Here I look at the body holistically, not only to alleviate the patient's symptoms, but also to eliminate the cause. This involves muscles, joints and vessels, but also the nervous system. Through manual therapy, I help the body to bring its structures back into balance.

  • Manual lymphatic drainage

Manual lymph drainage helps with swellings, especially after operations, but also with traumas such as sprains, strains and bruises. The lymphatic system is activated by mostly gentle grasping techniques and thus the flow of lymph fluid is stimulated. The tissue thus becomes more supple and the swellings go down. In this way, manual lymphatic drainage can alleviate or even dissolve pain. It supports the body in resorption and regeneration, promotes mobility as well as the healing process in clinical pictures such as water retention in rheumatic diseases, migraine, Morbus Sudeck, trigeminal neuralgia, swellings after injuries and congestion of lymph fluid (lymphoedema).

  • CPNI

Each of us wants to feel good in everyday life and in life in general. In order to create a certain balance, a number of factors must interact: physical health, nutrition, immune system and psyche, but also external factors such as lifestyle and living conditions with family, job and leisure time. With its holistic approach, clinical psycho-neuro-immunology (cPNI) takes all these factors into account. In order to establish or increase the patient's well-being, habits are scrutinised and, if necessary, adjusted, for example through a change in diet or more exercise in everyday life. The goal is to eliminate negative stressors. Above all, however, the aim is to treat chronic symptoms and diseases or to positively influence the course of the disease in a secondary preventive way, and furthermore to develop therapeutic interventions and prophylactic approaches so that chronic diseases cannot develop in the first place.

  • Neurovascular therapy

Counteracting shortened muscles or consequently bad posture: this is what I do with neurovascular therapy, i.e. treating the nerve pathways and blood vessels. This therapy approach also influences the structures of our connective tissue. If this is restricted in movement, it also affects nerves and blood vessels. So imagine the following chain reaction: trauma causes reduced mobility of the neurovascular system. As a protective mechanism, the body makes sure that the muscles around the nerves and vessels build up more tension. Tense muscles, in turn, restrict us in our everyday movements and, in the worst case, lead to poor posture and pain. So with this therapy we start at the cause of the pain, at the reduced neurovascular mobility. I learned this new treatment concept developed in 2009 by physiotherapist and osteopath Lutz M. Scheuerer at the German Training Institute for Osteopathy (DFO) and can now add another building block to my therapy options.

  • Osteopathic techniques

The word osteopathy comes from the Greek and means "osteon" bone and "pathos" suffering. Today, when we speak of osteopathy, we are talking about much more than bone ailments. Osteopathy stands for a holistic form of therapy that affects muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones, but also includes the organs. Osteopathy activates the body's self-healing powers, which is intended to bring all the body's systems back into harmony.

  • K-Tape/Medical Taping

A colourful adhesive tape that relieves pain. Kinesio Tape is particularly suitable as a therapy method for diseases of the muscular, tendon or skeletal apparatus. The tape slightly lifts the top layer of skin, the epidermis. This improves metabolism and blood circulation. This relieves the pain. K-Tape is often used as a supportive therapy.

  • TRX

We strengthen your balance and improve your flexibility - with TRX Suspenion Training! This is a highly effective whole-body workout that uses your own body weight as training resistance. With the non-elastic belt system - the TRX - you perform a variety of varied exercises, whether standing or lying down. The three-dimensional training addresses the muscles in the entire muscle chain. Whether for weight reduction, muscle building, fitness improvement or prevention of back pain, the TRX is suitable for beginners as well as advanced athletes and is very effective even in short units.

  • FMS

Our bodies are stressed every day, but especially through physically demanding work or competitive sports. It is quite natural that we try to compensate for overexertion or injury through relieving movements - compensating movement patterns. This may feel good at first, but can have serious consequences. The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) analyses seven functional movement patterns. It gives us information about the causes of problems that have arisen. Based on this, a targeted and individual therapy can be started with the help of suitable training methods. In this way, we optimise your fitness, prevent injuries and make athletes even more efficient.

HOLETICS COACH

SEBASTIAN FRÖBEL

In my experience as a physiotherapist, I approach each patient individually and use both manual therapy and osteopathic techniques. Using a holistic approach, I start the treatment by identifying the source of the problem.

Helping my patients to maintain their health or become healthy is the focus of my work. I myself spend a lot of time outdoors and exercise is also very important in my private life. That is why I respond to the needs of my patients with great understanding. This adds to the empathy I have for my patients' needs and conditions.

I have been a self-employed physiotherapist in Munich since 2012.

Prior to this I worked in the rehabilitation clinic Medical Park St. Hubertus in Bad Wiessee in the areas of orthopaedics and traumatology. I started my education as a physiotherapist and gymnastics teacher in 2004 at the Medau School in Coburg. In addition, I trained as a sports and exercise therapist for the DVGS ("German Association for Health Sports and Sports Therapy").

DETAILED VITA

My name is Sebastian Fröbel. I have lived in Munich for a long time, but I was born and grew up in the beautiful town of Coburg. I have always been very close to nature and active in sports in my free time. This passion led to my decision to train as a physiotherapist and gymnastics teacher at the renowned Medau School and to directly follow the training as a sports and movement therapist of the DVGS ("German Association for Health Sports and Sports Therapy"). This was followed by further training as a therapist for "manual lymph drainage".

Before starting my working life, I travelled to Thailand for several weeks and took the opportunity to train in Advanced Medical Thai Massage at the Traditional Massage School of Wat Poh.

After this time full of experience, I started my professional career at the renowned rehabilitation clinic Medical Park St. Hubertus in Bad Wiessee. There I worked in the areas of orthopaedics and traumatology with national and international patients.

In order to constantly expand my range of knowledge, I trained as a manual therapist and sports physiotherapist during this time. I have been working as a self-employed physiotherapist in Munich since 2012.

Between 2014 and 2017, I had the unique opportunity to accompany the youth squad of the DSV (German Swimming Association) to Innsbruck for their annual training course. A great experience!

In the meantime, I support the next generation of osteopaths and physiotherapists Lutz M. Scheuerer as a lecturer.

I find a great balance to my demanding job by hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking or jogging in the region and further afield. My highlights so far include crossing the Jubilee Ridge, climbing Chimborazo in Ecuador and my tour along the Kungsleden in Swedish Lapland. It is these activities that give me the energy to provide my patients with individual and intensive care.

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

After years of severe hip pain, I turned to Mr. Fröbel's physiotherapy practice.
Here I received very competent advice, empathetic and safe guidance through the treatment. I then decided to have an artificial hip joint and here, too, I received professional and committed care and treatment before and after the operation. Of course, it is not possible without one's own help, so Mr Fröbel showed me suitable exercises to do at home. Today, I can once again cope with my usual everyday life without pain and also enjoy my beloved winter sport - skiing.
I can unreservedly recommend this practice. Mr Fröbel is very competent, friendly and helpful. There is a pleasant atmosphere.

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

On the recommendation of Dr. K.- D. Nowak, I was given physiotherapeutic care by Mr. Sebastian Fröbel with the diagnosis "Frozen Shoulder".
Within two months (9 therapy hours), combined with exercises at home, the mobility of my arm was almost completely restored and the course of the entire disease, which can last up to two years, was reduced to half a year.

Mr. Fröbel works very concentrated, he treats the disease holistically, observes attentively the changes resulting from the treatments and deals with them gently but purposefully.

As a patient you feel in the best of hands with him.
His professional and effective therapeutic care is absolutely recommendable.
I hope I will still get Ternine with you in the future :)

I. M.

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

With his friendly and open manner, Mr Sebastian Fröbel is a physiotherapist you like to go to and who motivates you to carry out the therapy suggestions even outside the practice rooms. He is able to explain the medical problem in a way that is understandable even to lay people and, based on this understanding, to work out a holistic therapy approach with the patient. His professional competence is beyond question for me, which was confirmed by the recommending specialists and by the quick and lasting healing of my knee. I have been pain-free since the operation 9 months ago.

C.B.

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

The therapy carried out by Mr. Fröbel was initially related to the pain in the right knee joint, which was caused by a bad posture of the right foot. Later, the treatment of the feet was added, this exclusively on the initiative of Mr. Fröbel, which I would like to note with thanks (a bds. stiffened big toe joint and a sunken transverse arch/splayfoot). The treatment and exercises were strictly cause-oriented, effective, intensive and easy to follow. From his wealth of knowledge of the numerous foot and leg muscles, he patiently gave me detailed information about their position and function. This makes it all the easier for me to motivate myself for the necessary exercises at home.

Results of the treatment:
The right knee is now pain-free; the load-bearing capacity cannot yet be fully tested because of the weakness of the feet. Exercises to increase their resilience are still ongoing. It is worth mentioning that the mobility of the right big toe has increased considerably. The valgus position of the left big toe has stopped so far that there is no enlargement or development of a corn. I am spared the previous permanent protection of this toe with an alternative toe ring.

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

My wife and I have been treated by Mr. Sebastian Froebel with great success for some time now because of our multiple orthopaedic complaints. We both appreciate Mr. Froebel not only because of his comprehensive physiotherapeutic knowledge, but also because of his talent to explain in detail the problem areas that have arisen in the human body but also the type and effect of the treatments he applies. Mr. Froebel was able to cure many a painful handicap after only a short period of treatment and restore our afflicted bodies to a normal state.Mr. Froebel has become a very welcome friend of the house due to his generally courteous manner in dealing with us. We can give Mr Froebel unqualified praise.

Justus & Liselotte Döring

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

I have been treated by Mr. Froebel for about 2 years and again this year for many months and for various complaints and can only express the highest praise, whether hip problems, broken kneecaps or treatment after a difficult shoulder operation (artificial joint after fracture of the humeral head). In each case, Mr Froebel dealt very intensively and thoroughly with my specific medical situation and patiently applied the appropriate treatment in each case. I would also like to emphasise the absolutely professional handling of the appointments - always reliable, forward-looking and, if possible, in accordance with the patient's wishes. It is a great advantage that there is no team at work here, which often involves staffing, but an excellent "lone fighter".

Rudolf W. Schmitt

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

Finally! Despite more than 40 years of various treatments such as massages, physiotherapy and Shiatsu, my pain in my neck and back was getting worse and my back stiffer. More than a year ago, I went to see H. Fröbel on a verbal recommendation. After all these years he was the first person who was really interested in the real causes of my tension, who searched for them and found them. Since then, we have been working together consistently on eliminating my problems and I am steadily getting closer to my goal of "being more mobile at 70 than at 60".

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

It is difficult to describe Mr. Froebel's innumerable qualities in a few sentences. But if I have to be brief: what stands out about Mr. Froebel is his amazing knowledge of the human body, which he uses with incomparable competence to investigate the complaints. I have been his patient for more than 1 year because of chronic complaints. At the same time, I have injured almost every joint through various sporting activities. Mr. Fröbel has relieved me of acute pain several times within one therapy session. Through his therapy I have the chronic pain under control and can lead a normal, active life. I feel in good hands with Mr. Fröbel and I am sure that he can always help me. I can recommend Mr. Fröbel as a physiotherapist to absolutely everyone.

Bartosz Pilch

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

I can only recommend anyone who has the opportunity to make an appointment with Sebastian Fröbel when there is pain and problems. I have been with him for almost 10 years and have had 2 severe slipped discs in my cervical spine during that time. Sebastian has brought me back to 100% performance without surgery twice in a very short time. The man knows where which fascia works with which nerve and which muscle at which joint - you would wish for something like that from many a doctor. A huge thank you for so much quality of life that I have regained through the therapies! I can do the sport I love without surgery and without years of discomfort! 5 stars here is not enough at all. I am totally happy and satisfied - it just fits! Top competent, friendly, very empathetic therapist with comprehensive know how.

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

Mr. Fröbel's physio practice has become, I can say without exaggeration, a "feel-good oasis" for me; because there you are not only kneaded, massaged, pressed or stretched, there you also get expert advice, without the usual time pressure, on how best to deal with your minor or major orthopaedic "aches and pains" in everyday life in order to accelerate the improvement or healing process.

So far, I have felt a clear relief after every session in the practice. - That is why I am glad that Mr Sebastian Fröbel's practice exists.

Kind regards
Peter Schindler

VOTES OF MY CUSTOMERS

I am glad I got appointments with Herr Fröbel on my recovery journey.
